Music..Keri Hilson says "Recognize a Real Woman"

This is Keri Hilson's new video called "Turnin Me On" featuring Lil' Wayne. It's been out for a little bit but I think it's not getting the proper radio play that it deserves. I really like the video and the song--it's very catchy.

The premise is how dudes can really turn you off when you at the club and etc, and when a dude comes at you "just right". Keri says "You should recognize a real woman" ..loves it, anyways peep the video.

What do you think? Oh and to the dudes, she's not male bashing she just giving you the tools to come at her correct, what dude can get mad at that?

Throwback Friday...Tony, Toni, Tone'..Still a weird video

Man, I love this song, but the video still disturbs me till this day. Nonethess, I love the group Tony, Toni, Tone circa 1993. Does anybody have a explanation for this video? Can some shake the 8 ball and let me know what answer it gives you? Anyways, enjoy the video and have a great weekend.

Throwback Friday...Just When You Need It..

It's another Friday, and here is a great Throwback that came at just the right time..
I was a little heated about having someone try to "do me" at work and did a terrible job, leading to twice the work for me. I was talking to my friend about it and this is what he had to say:

"You'll get it, your are very smart, and strong willed".

It's great to have people in your life to say things to you like this, if you don't have any, get some friends that will encourage you when you need it. Anywho, here is the throwback from none other than Whitney Houston (pre-crack, ya'll know this song; Exhale (Shoop, Shoop) from the Waiting to Exhale Soundtrack. So the next time you feeling stressed..(all together now) deep Breath...Exhale!!

Enjoy the video and have a great weekend, I know me and my Rum are going to have a great one. What's your plans for the weekend?

Throwback Friday...Stand up for Lutha!!

Alright ya'll I'm bringing you one of my very favorite songs... It's "Never Too Much" by Luther Vandross. I think I love this song becuase it's not just a love song..it has that upbeat, make your day better spirit. Do you have any songs that make you feel that way?

1000 kiss from you never too much..

It makes me think about never taking for granted the life we have, no matter how hard it is. Enjoy the moments of grinding, and the perfectly made chocolate milk shakes. (My favorite by the way.

Anyways, Have a great Friday..and bare with me as I try to make a new blogging schedule that keeps up with me and my life without making me totally exhausted.

Oh and Happy Halloweeen!

Music..Throwback Friday

Hey all, due to my crazy schedule lately I just didn't have time to post yesterday. I hope you didn't lose your mind. I decided to give you some old school Whitney. I mean this was way before Bobby had a chance to ruin her life. Here's "I Wanna Dance with somebody", circa 1987. Oh and the crazy thing is all the fashion in the video is current now, the scarf Whit had on, the shinny leggings..who would have though.
Enjoy and have a good Friday.

Music...Throwback Friday

What up, it's Friday again..time for another throwback. Today's classics come from Ms. Jackson..Janet that is. I gave some young Janet, and then the older Janet. Nonetheless, I don't really like the current Janet with J.D producing all her music. It's just not hot. I decided on the first one though because it reminds of the good times when dudes weren't trying to do everything they can to get in the cookie jar. The second video came to mind when my from Odara from Gimme the Goodies said she could do all the moves to "Pleasure Principle", I used to but not now, but I can still do all the moves to "I Get So Lonely". What videos can you still do the moves to? Hope you have a good Friday and enjoy the vids.

Let's Wait Awhile

So Common decided to tease us just a little by releasing a clip of his video with him and Pharell. The song is called "Universal Mind Control" and it is directed by Hype Williams. I can't wait for the rest of this video or his new album.

And since that was such a teaser I decided to give you one of my favorite Common joints. "I used to love H.E.R", classic.

Music..Cutting Through the VMA's BS..

So I was watching the VMA's last night (MTV's Video Music Awards) and after about an hour I new that there would nothing really worth live blogging about. After the awards were over, I said "Was there anything that hot about the VMA's worth even doing a post about?" So I thought about it....Thinking.. Still Thinking..

Oh yeah, there was a hott performance and song with T.I. featuring Rihanna.. So here it is.. Oh and I'm not going to mention how someway Brittany Spears won three awards.. It's like Beijing all over again..cause you know she was paying someone under the table. She does have enough cash to pay MTV off to revive her career. But that's just me, what did you think about Brit getting all those awards and the VMA's. I'd love to hear what you got to say.

Here is the full song from T.I. and Rihanna "Live Your Life"... HERE
Enjoy!

Music..Throwback Friday

It's another edition of Throwback Friday...I had to do this one because not every Friday I feel this good to post a song like this. I mean, it's Friday, direct deposit came through, going out tonight, going to a football game tomorrow, and keeping up with the rest of the action on the turf Sunday.

What could be a better start to this weekend? Anyways, here he is Johnny Kemp, "Just Got Paid", Circa 1988..
This song leads me to ask, what ya'll got up for the weekend? Let me know, hope it's going to be as good as mine. Enjoy your Friday!!

Intellect..I Want More!!

Bill Clinton, John Kerry, Joe Biden, & the teaser from Barack Obama.
What more do you want in one night...

Democratic National Convention: Day 3

Here are some moving Joe Biden moments:

"You know, John thinks that, during the Bush years, quote, "We've made great economic progress." I think it's been abysmal. And in the Senate, John has voted with President Bush 95 percent. And that is very hard to believe"

"Even today, as oil companies post the biggest profits in history, nearly $500 billion in the last five years, John wants to give them another $4 billion in tax breaks. That's not change. That's the same."

"He voted 19 times against the minimum wage for people who are struggling just to make it to the next day. That's not change. That's more of the same."

Our greatest presidents, from Abraham Lincoln to Franklin Roosevelt to John Kennedy, they all challenged us to embrace change. Now it is our responsibility to meet that challenge.

Our greatest presidents, from Abraham Lincoln to Franklin Roosevelt to John Kennedy, they all challenged us to embrace change. Now it is our responsibility to meet that challenge.

And then.... (Hit play)

I mean after that all I could hear was Archie's Song (singing) "We ready, we readdddy, we reaaady, for ya'll"

For those of you who don't remember...

Today is also the 45th Anniversary of Martin Luther King's "I Have a Dream" speech..nobody but God could have set this up.. So, I'm defintley "Readdy"...tonight. There nothing else that could be anymore important.
